Hemet Unified School District’s Nutrition Services team is working to ensure more students start their day fueled and ready to learn. As part of their strategic action plan, the department has set a goal to increase average breakfast participation by 7.5% across all school sites by May 2026, using monthly meal participation data to guide their progress. Mr. Andrew Silva, our Alternative to Suspension (ATS) Teacher, is being recognized as Fruitvale’s Employee of Excellence. Mr. Silva has done an outstanding job with the ATS program, embodying our core values to Embrace, Educate, and Empower every student, every day.

In addition to his role as the ATS teacher, Mr. Silva also serves as our fantastic Admin Designee and leads several after-school clubs. His unwavering commitment to our students, staff, and families is deeply appreciated and has been instrumental in making Fruitvale such a great place to learn and work.
