We are starting our year in language arts, by studying proper and common nouns. School House Rock is always a fun way to teach parts of speech to your child.

Fruitvale Elementary will host our Back to School Night on Thursday, August 21. There will be a brief PTA meeting from 4:30-5:00, then classes will be open for parent visits from 5:00-6:00. I will host two parent information sessions; one at 5:00, and another at 5:30. I hope to see you there! Please come with an idea of days that you would be able to attend a parent/teacher conference. I will have sign up sheets available. Conferences will be held the week of October 20-24.
