During Read Across America Week, all students had the opportunity to participate in the candy jar guess and in the original artwork or poetry contest. The art and poems were focused on reading or Dr. Seuss. A winner from each grade level was selected for both the artwork and the poetry contest and one student won the candy jar filled with 1,420 Skittles for having the closest guess - within seven Skittles. It was a memorable and educational event!
